How do I choose which specific Archive/s I want.

This is handled in the post-campaign phase using BackerKit. There, you can select the specifics of your pledge.

Do the archives get cheaper in price the more you buy?

Yes, the discount ranges from 5% to 16%, depending on which pledge you choose.

Can you split shipments of either the pledges or the discounted add-ons?

No, unfortunately, I can’t do this. I like to keep the delivery of these projects and products as simple as I can.

Do you have to own a Thick Skull XL or L to use these archives?

Nope! Although these archives are designed with Thick Skull enjoyers in mind, they don’t need to be used solely by these awesome people! The internal sizes are listed in the description, so you can check to see if your foams work with them, or you can buy foams as an add-on and enjoy the archives with whatever miniatures you wish to store!

I live in Australia/New Zealand, why is the shipping cost so high?

That’s a great question, but to which I do not know the full answer. It just seems to be that shipping items, particularly large items, costs big money. I wish I could make the price lower, but I can assure you this is as low as it goes. My advice is to see if your fellow league coaches want to get involved and order as a group, thus sharing the cost of the shipping and making it less painful.

I'm worried they are difficult to assemble.

Please don’t be. You simply peel the self-adhesive stickers that are already applied, then as you fold up the archive, you will notice that everything just goes into the positions they need to be in. You then simply make sure you have applied enough pressure to get a good firm seal, and that’s it, all done.

How can I order foams for the Archives?

These can be ordered as add-ons in either the Kickstarter campaign or the BackerKit post-campaign phase.

Do the foam tray layers come with each of the archives as standard?

No. They are sold separately so that you can customise your pledge to your hearts content.

Will this become a product in your online store?

Good question, but a hard one to answer. It all depends on how much of a success (or failure) this campaign is. So, for now, I will say no, so I don’t have to disappoint anyone later. But if it’s a great success (I know you just read that as Borat!), then there is a chance it will come to the store.

Why can I only pledge to a maximum of 15 archives?

Well, the pledges have to end somewhere, right? Seriously though, each of the archives can pretty much hold two teams, depending on the team, etc. So there are around 27 team races out there right now, and maybe more to come? So I think 15 feels right for those who want to have enough to use with all their teams.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
